CBT & EMDR Therapy

Two evidence-based approaches, tailored to what's brought you here — delivered online, in a confidential space.

CBT

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

A practical, structured, talking-based therapy that looks at the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Together, we identify patterns that are keeping difficulties going, and build more helpful ways of responding — often with small steps to try between sessions.

Well suited to depression, anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia, OCD, phobias, PTSD and trauma, low self-esteem, perfectionism, anger, imposter syndrome, assertiveness, burnout, and difficulties connected to long term conditions and medically unexplained symptoms (such as CFS or IBS).

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing

A therapy that uses bilateral stimulation (guided eye movements or similar) to help the brain reprocess distressing memories and experiences, so they lose their emotional intensity over time. It tends to involve less talking through detail than CBT, and can feel gentler for difficult material.

Particularly well suited to PTSD, Complex PTSD, and other trauma-related difficulties, though it can help with a range of distressing memories.

Clinical Supervision

Alongside client work, I provide clinical supervision to trainee and qualified therapists, drawing on 15+ years' experience across adult mental health, long term conditions, and trauma-focused practice. I'm also a co-author of peer-reviewed research published in Research and Advances in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences & the Law — see the About page for the full citations.

Workshops & Training

Alongside 1:1 therapy, I offer bespoke workshops and information sessions for workplaces and community groups, drawing on my clinical background to make evidence-based mental health content practical and accessible for non-clinical audiences.

Sessions can be tailored to your needs — a single introductory talk, a short themed workshop, or a series of sessions — on topics such as managing stress and burnout, understanding anxiety, or building resilience in the workplace.

Every workshop is designed around the group booking it, so get in touch to discuss what would work best for your team or community.
